Sher Ali Khan (1825February 21, 1879) was Amir of Afghanistan from 1863 to 1866 and from 1868 until his death in 1879. He was the third son of Dost Mohammed Khan, founder of the Barakzai Dynasty in Afghanistan.Sher Ali Khan initially seized power when his father died, but was quickly ousted by his older brother, Mohammad Afzal Khan.

Kabulistan () is a historical term referring to the eastern territories of Greater Khorasan that is centered around present-day Kabul, Afghanistan. It is sometimes mentioned as Caboul in many old English and French books.At its peak, Kabulistan included Kunduz, Badakhshan, Ghazni, Qandahar, and the territory to the east, as far as the Indus River in Pakistan.In some of the European books that were written during the 18th to the 20th centuries, most of today's Afghanistan was known as Caboul and its kingdom was called the Kingdom of Caboul.

Deh Sabz District is situated northeast of Kabul City in Afghanistan. It has a population of 100,136 people (2002 UNHCR estimate). About 70% are Pashtuns, and 30% are Tajiks.Deh Sabz borders Shakardara and Mir Bacha Kot districts to the west, Kalakan and Qarabagh districts to the north-west, Parvan Province to the north and east, Surobi to the southeast and Bagrami and Kabul districts to the south. The headquarters of Deh Sabz is the village of Tarakhel, situated in the south-western part of the district.
