Diplomatic illness is the practice amongst diplomats and government ministers of feigning illness, or another debilitating condition, to avoid engaging in diplomatic or social engagements. The euphemism is designed to avoid formally offending the host or other parties. The term also refers to the period during which the diplomat illness is employed.For example, Lech Kaczyński cited diplomatic illness to avoid a Weimar Triangle meeting in the wake of a diplomatic dispute with Germany in 2006.

Jan Bułhak (1876-1950) was a pioneer of photography in Poland and one of the best known Polish photographers of the early 20th century. A theoretician and philosopher of photography, he was among the most prominent exponents of pictorialism. He is best known for his landscapes and photographs of the city of Vilnius (then in Poland, now in Lithuania); he was also the founder of the Wilno Photoclub (1927) and Polish Photoclub, the predecessors of the modern Union of Polish Art Photographers (ZPAF), of which Bułhak was also an honorary headperson.

2008 Bucharest summit
The 2008 Bucharest Summit or the 20th NATO Summit was a NATO summit organized in Bucharest, Romania on 2–4 April 2008. Among other business, Croatia and Albania were invited to join the alliance. Republic of Macedonia was not invited due to its ongoing naming dispute with Greece. Georgia and Ukraine had hoped to join the NATO Membership Action Plan, but the NATO members decided to review their request in December 2008.

It debuted in 1956 and with one 25-minute episode every week on Saturday it has continued until present on Program 1 of Polskie Radio, making it one of the longest running radio dramas in the world. Lindsay Davidson (9 April 1973, Scotland) was taught bagpipes by Pipe Major James Inglis of Wallacestone and District Pipe Band from aged nine. He was the last person Inglis taught before his death. Post-Kyoto negotiations refers to high level talks attempting to address global warming by limiting greenhouse gas emissions. Generally part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), these talks concern the period after the first "commitment period" of the Kyoto Protocol, which is due to expire at the end of 2012. High level talks were also held at the meeting of the G8+5 Climate Change Dialogue in February 2007.

Zdzisław Peszkowski (August 23 1918 Sanok October 8 2007 Warsaw) was a Polish Roman Catholic priest and one of a small group of Polish army officers who managed to survive the 1940 mass execution of over 20,000 Polish citizens by NKVD, the Katyn massacre. Peszkowski was a leading advocate and chaplain for the Katyn Families Association, which works with survivors of the Katyn massacre and their families.
