Jimmy D'Aquisto James L. D'Aquisto (1935-1995) was an American guitar maker best known as the premier maker of custom guitars. He served as an apprentice to John D'Angelico in the early 1950s and was considered his successor after the latter's death in 1964. Long Island Music Hall of Fame The Long Island Music Hall of Fame is an organization located in Lake Grove, New York. It was incorporated in July 2005 under the New York State Board of Regents as a non profit organization and holds a provisional charter to operate as a museum in the state of New York. Expansion plans include a museum of Long Island music history, a multimedia resource center, an educational facility and outreach program, and will also serve as a venue for musical performances.
